What is ABA Therapy?
ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is the gold-standard treatment for problem behaviors linked to Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental issues. At its heart, ABA therapy is built around a simple idea: If a child is rewarded for displaying positive behaviors, they are more likely to adopt those behaviors long term.
ABA therapy is typically provided by a Registered Behavioral Technician, under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst. For best results, it’s best to supplement professional therapy with parent-led ABA techniques in the home.
What to Expect from ABA Therapy
We deliver ABA therapy in various contexts and settings: while your child is playing in the home or learning and socializing in school or the community. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions, and instead tailor our approach to meet your child’s unique needs and goals.
We provide most ABA therapy on a one-to-one basis, but also offer Social Skills groups, which deliver the rich benefits of regular contact with peers. In addition, we emphasize parental involvement and provide ABA training for parents, to empower you to reinforce the positive changes you’ll see in your child.
Rest assured, before beginning therapy we’ll conduct a detailed assessment to identify areas of greatest need. In this way, we’re able to plan and implement a genuinely bespoke therapy program to deliver maximum benefits.
